This week I was selected as a finalist in the international Pride Photo Award. Series: Les Amies De Place Blanche documenting ‘ladies of the night’ transsexuals in Paris in the 1960’s. Photographer: Christer Strömholm 1918-2002 He befriended and photographed transsexual prostitutes of the neighbourhood’s red-light district struggling to live as women and to raise money for gender reassignment surgeries.
